Overcomers Prison Ministry

Mission:

The main focus of the Overcomers Ministry is to do God's will. One of the works of a good steward is to visit those who are in prison. Jesus said in Matthew 25:36b (NIV) ".I was in prison and you came to visit me."

The Prison Ministry is an outreach ministry coordinated with the Church of Christ Chaplain Bill Brewer of the Chaplaincy Division of TDCJ.

We have been assigned to the Coffield Unit in Tennessee Colony near Palestine. We worship with the Coffield Church of Christ each fifth Sunday and on the second Sunday on a three month rotation with other churches of Christ in the area.

The volunteers who answered the call to visit the prisons are members of the North Tenneha congregation as a whole, and not just the Overcomers Ministry. The volunteers are:
