Meals on Wheels Ministry
Back to Ministries Top Mission: To provide a hot meal and hope to those senior citizens or disabled persons who live alone or with a caregiver who cannot prepare a meal or shop on their own. We are reaching out to our community. Edifying and helping senior citizens and disabled persons in need. Description: This is a sub-ministry of Manna for Many. This ministry is affiliate with Meals on Wheels of Greater Tyler, Texas. Every Thursday afternoon, retired members of our congregation volunteer their meet at the assigned location and deliver meals to senior citizens (ages 60+) and disabled citizens of the East Texas area. During the summer months our youth and educators of the congregation participates in the program. Ministry Leader: Donzell Brown Members: Retired members of the North Tenneha Church of Christ congregation who are willing to volunteer their time once a week for one hour. Our youth, parents, and educators are encouraged to volunteer during the summer months. The Meals on Wheels Ministry dedicates our efforts and success to one of our faithful members, Clarence Walker, although his presence is no longer with us. The devotion he instilled in this ministry gives us the utmost encouragement to continue to serve our community.
